Questions about transmission and telnet...

First of all, thanks very much to moServices's development team, thanks a lot for your work, the functionality of my HD2 has been increased a lot of thanks to moservices.
I have a couple of doubts and I spent a lot of days search the answers but i haven´t found it, I don't want to disturb to members of the forum with silly questions... apologize in advance.

Well.. a little bit of my history.

I have the ASUS O!PLAY HD2 with a internal HDD WD 2 Terabyte (NTFS format) , I updated firmware to original (and current) Asus version 2.05.12 , then, I installed moservices without any problems following the steps of online option here (https://sites.google.com/site/farvoice/install_en).

Now, I have the next services working fine:





I made and configured a swap partition of 1 gigabyte, this is a copy of the moservices information page:

If you have read until here... thanks a lot , now my doubts:

a) Transmissions (version): As can see here (http://i121.photobucket.com/albums/o223 ... e829c6.jpg) I can install only the version 2.04 or 2.12 and I did it
First I installed 2.12. This version take much time to start up the service (2 or 3 minuts) and then I experimented a lot of hang up of the machine (no remote control response only unplugged wire to shutdown).
After that, I installed 2.04 and seems operate much better, much stable. But.. i don't know which version is better for my HD2, what version i should work?

b) Transmissions (user-password): I know I can change the default user/password (torrent/1234) editing the settings.json, but I have a curious problem. In the 2.12 version work without problem, but in the 2.04 (my actual version) when restart service the settings.json is rewrites with the defaults values... any idea about this?

c) Telnet (user-password): May be... this question is "out of range" of moservices, but If anybody can answer me I will be very thankful. I cant change the password of the root user when I connect using telnet, I mean, I can change it (with the passwd command) but when the OPlay restarts the password of the root user is again an empty password, seems (like in the last question) that the OS rewrites passwords files, any idea?

d) Telnet (shutdown): I think ... I know the answer for this question, but I will try it . It's possible to do shutdown (standby I mean) the HD2 through telnet?, I read something about commands like "/sbin/stopAll /sbin/poweroff" .. but nothing works, the machine not enter in standby mode (red light), it's possible?

e) Firmware: Should I update the firmware to another as the R8 ?

I have more questions but I don't want disturb more or exhaust your patience, thank you very much in advance

I get problems with transmission in R8 POHD version it allways freeze when i start download torrent something wrong there.

Hello, my transmission version 2.33 if i'm not wrong its newest version, my HDD 1tb formated NTFS. all looks fine but it freeze all player i was tryied to wait like 2 hours and then check and it still was freezed. So its not lag of torrent creating i decided. Btw with original newest version i can easy download torrents.

ups i reminded i changed version of my player thats how i got 2,33.
MY version Linux OPLAY55 2.6.12.6-VENUS #323636_r7 Fri Dec 23 15:17:58 MSK 2011 mips GNU/Linux
But for me this version freeze.. i'll move back to r8 version

ups i reminded i changed version of my player thats how i got 2,33.
MY version Linux OPLAY55 2.6.12.6-VENUS #323636_r7 Fri Dec 23 15:17:58 MSK 2011 mips GNU/Linux
But for me this version freeze.. i'll move back to r8 version

I just missed the _r7 in the build name, that's all.
