Yamj Movie Jukebox

Yamj Movie Jukebox

Postby MediaTank » 29 Nov 2010, 00:39

I noticed the AC ryan (witch has the same hardware and similar fimware) to Playon.

Has Yamj movie jukebox, Displays covers from internet and gives movie info, rating etc.

Can this be hacked into the playon firmware :?:

I like xTreamer Jukebox http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_x_NWtVqRI4
I tried to put it on your player - it works. But a lot has to be remedied in RSS If I have free time I'll try to do it.

And YAMJ is very curve :)

Another choice - TViXiE http://www.tvixie.com/ , but it is also necessary to make RSS menu

Thank you for the reply Farvoice.

Anything like this would be great.

Have you thought of adding a paypal donate button next to different jobs/ideas and firmware requests.

I am sure the oplay community would mind paying for your hard work and skills :P

I recently began to experiment with YAMJ to generate artwork for another player that can only use the resulting jpegs, but not take advantage of YAMJ's xml files.

As Opera is present on HD2beta firmware, I pointed Opera to YAMJ's xml output files on an O!Play attached usb stick & the web pages of jpegs do indeed display but they're a bit slow, as the poor Mips cpu has to work really hard. I haven't yet managed to get a movie to start by clicking on its full screen jpeg, but the idea is just about usable, although if you do find time to implement the necessary RSS mechanism, that would be faster I think, & be very nice, thank you :)

The RSS version of TViXiE2Playon!HD works well on the O'Play. I placed all the JukeBox content (thumbnail, moviesheet and RSS files) in a NFS server, and mount it in O'Play. Very nice!! :D

This sounds very promising Ulumu!

Would you be willing to provide a brief guide as to how you got this working please.
