Upgraded from 3.1-blue to 3.2-blue with reset trick - works fine so far. Reset some settings (had to set them again manually.)

DHCP was set to Static, Bookmarks disappeared. No big deal though.

I tested this fw with: Zinwell ZIN 5005HD mini, Brite View CineTube mini and Conrad HD Media player - clone of two first players. Everything works perfectly, I'm using Logitech Harmony 555 remote.

And question for experts: it's possible that my Conrad player have 512MB NAND flash memory?

guys, you did a good job with the modding stuff, but you're sooo bad explaining what you did.
every bit of information is scattered through +40!!! pages of forum.. and some tens of threads.. really guys, I don't think anybody can find anything here.
and I suppose some info is translated with google translate or something, cause sometimes i understand the words but the phrase has no meaning at all.

can you organize a little your info? a sticky containing the steps from original FW to the modded one and the steps from HD2 1.12.06 rev3.1 to HD2 1.12.06 rev3.2, leave the helpful comments to other threads and update only with tips & tricks

that's why I hate linux too, all documentation sux big time.. :)

please help me, im trying to upgrade from HD2 1.12.06 rev3.1 to HD2 1.12.06 rev3.2, i read all the info but still dont understand a thing I have to do.. and believe it or not, I have technical background..
I get the File not found error trying to update using the menu, and i tried almost all but the telnet command, cause I'm afraid of bricking my box.

thanks, pls don't be upset for feedback

Rename to .srt or .sub and try it!

3.1 to 3.2 upgrade procedure
1.) Turn OPLAY on, insert USB stick with install.img
2.) Press the RESET pin on the side with pen or sharp object.
3.) While still pressing the reset pin, unplug power cable for 5 seconds and plug back in
4.) You will receive "preparing to install firmware" - wait and it will be installed.

Clear enough? =)
