Hi alfred10,
I think i understand your question.
You want to use module IPTVList, put your playlists on Dropbox and then tell your player(s) to use that playlist that you can easily edit on your PC and have all player(s) updated at once.
This would be very neat 8-) but I honestly don't know how to do.
Maybe someone else will come by this thread and tell us how to do it.
Cheers

To autoload playlist in IPTVList you can try this "tweak":
in usr/local/etc/rcS add at last line:
Code: Select all
Sleep 60
wget "http://your.site/your_playlist.m3u" -O /usr/local/etc/mos/www/modules/iptvlist/Playlist.m3u

And your playlist will load automatically in 60 sec. after every reboot / start.

Thanks a bunch Pokrass.
Now IPTVList also has the best feature that I missed from IPTVxtra!
Cool, can't wait to get home and try that lol.

@Pokrass
This works great! :D

This is probably a question that I should ask to Hax but since I don't see him much in the forum and since you're Russian and very active here in the English part of the forum I will ask you. Is there any way I can play an http stream and tell the player to also show an external subtitle?
Because I know sites that stream movies in foreign languages and I know sites where I can download a subtitle for my country.
So, is it possible? To overlay a subtitle on top of an http stream?
Just asking for the impossible, right?

Anyway, this skin rocks.
Maybe not as beautiful as POHD but it is quite fast and very intuitive.
Just wish that the iconbit menu was in English instead of Russian.
Last question, is there a file where I can change the city weather that shows on the main screen?
Thanks a bunch man.
Cheers

Wow! That was fast

Pokrass wrote:No. IPTVList dont support external subs.

Oh man, IPTVList with subtitles would really rock.
Is it even possible? Like, if Hax really wanted, would it be possible to add subs? Or are we talking about something really impossible?

That's a shame. Every application/tool should always be available in the developer's native language and in English because it is sort of a, let's say, universal language.
This way only Russians can enjoy the Online Media in the Iconbit firmware...
Doesn't Iconbit sell players outside Russia?

Say, how can I change the city/weather in the main menu?
Thanks man.
Cheers

I think its possible but only hax can do it.

Iconbit's extended firmwares makes russian developers :-)
You can change usr/local/bin/scripts/menu.rss as you want and mount it. Or you can disable it in HomeMenu.rss and GuideMenu in mos/iconmenu

Then I will head down to the Russian part of the forum to the IPTVList thread and ask him if it's possible for him to add subtitle support.

Yea, as I understand the developers of Iconbit are Russians, right? But it is setback to develop the software in Russian only. This way they make it very hard to sell outside of Russia... :(

Thanks for the tip.
I guess I'll leave it there and will investigate when I have free time.

This is working great but it will only reload the playlist on reboot.
Does this firmware support crontab?
Could we possibly add this to a crontab that would reload all playlists every 5 minutes?
Or instead, why not reload every time we enter inside IPTVList from the main menu?
This way, if we wanted to reload the playlists we would only need to exit IPTVList and then open IPTVList again.
What do you think?
Kudos :)

Easer way is write script like
Code: Select all
while true ; do
sleep 60
wget "http://your.site/your_playlist.m3u" -O /usr/local/etc/mos/www/modules/iptvlist/Playlist.m3u
sleep 240
done

Place it in rc.init and give attributes 755
but I don't try it :)

P.s. And update all modules (in web interface) before it.
