I have purchased the O!Play HDP-R1 about 3 years ago and used to connect a 1TB external hard drive or an array of 4 x1TB hard drives to it. All the files were successfully recognized by the O!Play. Last year I upgraded to FW 1.38N and since then the O!Play stopped recognizing my hard drives. The O!Play would start the detection process, would hang there for a while, turn off itself and repeat the same process over and over.
Now the only thing I can use that can be detected are hard drives that are lower than 100GB in capacity. Over time I upgraded to FW 1.39N, 1.40N and lastly 1.41N hoping that the issue would be finally fixed but it hasn't. I contacted Asus and wrote on their forum for help but nobody answered.
Does anybody know a solution to this problem? Would a hack firmware fix this issue? I have tried to read this forum a little bit and the jargon seemed a little bit confusing as to what the hacked firmwares do and how to install them.
Thank you in advance for your help.
