Stream Test Software

Postby pyro1000 » 15 May 2013, 17:41

Hi Fans

I have written a new and easy software (deutsch/english) to test livestreams
these streams can be tested: rtmp / rtmpe / rtmpt / rtsp / mms / mmsh / http / m3u8
for m3u8 streams is ffmpeg needed, you can download the dumps with the button -dump dnld-

the download found at: http://www.iptvxtra.net/download/LiveStreamTester/LiveStreamTester.exe

Pyro1000, have you noticed that rtmpdump is very outdated.
Those live stream websites have come up with some new ways to stop us from watching/downloading and rtmpdump has been silently updated to support those websites.
It is all written here http://stream-recorder.com/forum/mips-tv-and-clones-need-help-get-t15451.html.
Actually from what I understand we shouldn't be using rtmpdump anymore.
They say we should be using librtmp (from ffmpeg) because they say it is more up to date than rtmpdump.
Besides, if we can't use librtmp we could use ffmpeg itself. They say ffmpeg can do the same that rtmpdump can do and even a whole lot more (it is a full-blown media player).
Now, if I knew how to compile rtmpdump for MIPS (used by o!play) I would have already solved my problem.
Could you possibly take a look at this when you have some time?
Thanks a bunch mate ;)
Cheers

Weird.
Looking at the source of the playlist we can clearly see that it doesn't allow caching:
Code: Select all
#EXT-X-ALLOW-CACHE:NO
