Its main points are:
1. takes up 10K space in main flash memory
2. naturally, you won't see any image on a TV (which name implies)
BUT
3. it will free up a large amount of RAM (about 80Мб, given that most players have only 128Мб
) - this is very useful for torrents and other NAS mode functionality4. switching to this skin is just a pair of clicks in web interface and 20 seconds of waiting to boot
5. BUT besides freeing up RAM, it will also shut down two processors (video and audio) and a bunch of peripheral devices supporting them. As a result, energy consumption (and therefore thermal emission) is halved at least! 99% players with stock cooling system will barely get warm.
6. You should remember that player won't have any interface, except network.

P.S.
Users who may benefit from this are those who have flash memory size less than 256K (without this skin it's impossible to install something else)
also those who use their player as NAS and/or torrent downloader - amount of free RAM will really allow to work without swap.

the small size allows installing firmware with NoGUI just online* without using any removable media.
