Asus O!Play HD-2 support

Asus O!Play HD-2 support

Postby ern » 07 Jul 2013, 19:52

Dear MoServices fans!
Can you clearly say that Asus O!Play HD-2 is compatible with MoServices?
Can I use the same instructions to install MoServices as is in R1 and R3 devices?

I'm waiting for info from you, because I would like to buy one of HD-2 players (really good price at the moment!)

Regards,
Lukasz

Yes. Instructions are same.
Read this viewtopic.php?f=12&t=98 and then install amp_r10 firmware with any GUI.

Dear friends,
New firmware HD2_FW_115_boot_26.zip and moServices installed successfully!:-))
But now, what should I do to use "/" root location, e.g. make symlink /opt to /tmp/usbmounts/sda1?
At the moment I've got:
Code: Select all
/ # df -h
Filesystem                Size      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/root                25.9M     25.9M         0 100% /

and when I try to symlink it refuses:
Code: Select all
/ # ln -s /tmp/usbmounts/sda1/ /opt
ln: /opt: Operation not permitted

I've got ext3 partition prepared to mount as /opt as you see below:
Code: Select all
/ # df -h
Filesystem                Size      Used Available Use% Mounted on
/dev/root                25.9M     25.9M         0 100% /
/dev/mtdblock/2         160.0M      9.6M    150.4M   6% /usr/local/etc
/dev/rd/0                40.0k     40.0k         0 100% /mnt/rd
/dev/scsi/host3/bus0/target0/lun0/part1      1.8G     28.1M      1.7G   2% /tmp/usbmounts/sda1

Can you give me any suggestions?

Regards,
Lukasz

HD2_FW_115_boot_26 need to change bootcode only. After flash it you must to flash another FW, e.t. amp_r10

OK, thanks for your answer.
I think I'll check if in my hardware configuration (SD Card and HDD) drivers are mounted in the same order.
After that I'll write few lines to startup script about mounting /opt.
Do you know where is startup script?:-)))

Of course :)) /usr/local/etc/rcS but i recommend to use rc.init folder for user scripts
And if you want to install optware, you may to use my ready-to-use package viewtopic.php?p=27188#p27188 (in Russian, but Google translate make a readable text)

Thanks FarVoice,
Of course I used your opt install script, I did'n ask about it because I found it before, while searching in google "moservices optware" :-))
At the moment I'm really happy guy:-D

Cheers!

EDIT:
Funny, but when I copied S40sshd startup script from opt location to /usr/local/etc/rc.init/ it's not starting with the system.
And another service S11optware (located in rc.init) isn't starting as well.
Right now, after system start I starting these services manually without problem.
Should I do something like rc-update or similar?:)
