Firmware HD2 1.12.06rev4 with built in R3 123 PAL (4 in 1)

Postby Olegin » 30 Mar 2011, 04:33

Thus, the long-awaited new version of the firmware with 2 skins from HD2 - blue and brown, embedded firmware from R3_123, also with two color schemes - Standard and Spring (thanks to Abdicator). Chose the firmware using the moS module - Skin selector on the TV screen or in a web interface and thats all! You have a player with the firmware from the HD2, or R3 with your preferred color scheme. Switch can be any time, firs start from 1.12.06_blue;). moS pre-installed, no additional patches are required. Compared with version 3.2 fixes some bugs, optimized resources. Added support of the Wi-Fi devices on Ralink chips - rt2570, rt2870, rt3070, rt3572, rt73. Work as an always-collective.
To install on all bootcodes!!!

To attention of HD2 owners!!!!!!!! Unfortunately, owing to Asus, on the market is the party of players with a "beaten" boot-code, to be exact, with the block of restoration "rescue". If through the reset button the player is not updating FW, don't do anything, first - you must to update boot, details here http://www.moservices.org/forum/viewtop ... 1233#p1233

То install ONLY with using reset button or soft reset!!!

Attention for non Asus players owners! FW is for players with min 256Мb FlashROM!!!

Tested on Asus HDP-R1/R3, Iconbit 7L (write about your plaeyrs and resalts, we'll add here).

Link to download

UPD 11/04/07 (FarVoice): Fixed founded bugs. Link to download was changed.
Fixed:
- wrong link in skin selector's web interface
- wrong samba start script
- modules Samba and Transmission set off by default
- added Opera performance patch
- added missing pictures, that caused the DvdPlayer crash when you try formatting internal HDD.

Only one question, some bugs of rev3 are corrected in this FW, or is the same as rev3 with skins and 1.23 pal?

What bugs do you speak about? If you are about mounting and sorting on ext3 and nfs -no.

I was speaking of the ones in:
viewtopic.php?f=12&t=500
Or those are from previous versions and already are corrected?

Great firmware! thanks for the hard work. Is there any chance that we can get a ntsc version of the new skins? that would be awesome.

If you look /usr/share/bin/r3/ in your player and learn a little about squash fs, I think you can do it by yourself. Or ask to linux programmers to repack the part of original FW_123NTSC to only 1 file as /usr/share/bin/r3/bin.squash, copy it to the player over "old" bin.squash (in this time you mast use one of HD2 FW skin's), change the name of FW in /usr/share/bin/r3/fw_desc.txt ... that's all ;)

P.S. PAL or NTSC is actual if you are using 'old' TV without HDMI.

Try to use AV composite for first setup, I think you TV don't support 576P mode on HDMI (it is default mode for this FW).

P.S. You must to setup you setting twice in HD2 part and in R3 part of FW.
