I don't know, what you flashed and what firmware you are then put. On this bootcode the follows HDSettings are:

this is what I used http://farvoice.dtdns.net/upload/boot-ASUS-PAL-V23.zip
I also search for that string and I didn't find it. I found the correct one for asus instead. I really don't know what is happening.
BTW /sys/realtek_boards/system_parameters shouldn't be rewritten when bootcode is updated? do you know how can I delete that file or full erase the flash?
thanks

LE: solved all my problems with power key and mac address
"erase -e" deleted all settings and reflash the bootcode with good ones
setenv ethadr=xx:xx:xx:xx:xx:xx I was lucky here because mac address was stored in the router :D
saveenv

thanks for your support

I have bootcode updated to PAL 23 (the one from you) and 1.30N FW. Will the Pal bootcode be a problem with NTSC FW as someone mentioned there are different versions of bootcode, one for Pal, one for NTSC? Thanks in advance.

There were no problem for me (HDP-R1 originally PAL, PAL v23 bootcode, HD2b v1.10.03 NTSC, video composite connected to PAL/SECAM/NTSC tv)

there are two reasons for update bootcode:
1. reflash player by using reset button
2. reflash player to hd2 fw, that works only on ntsc now.
so, there are no problems with different versions of bootcode and tv systems (pal, secam or ntsc).
you can flash any fw you like! :)

I added bootcode 26 for HD2. FOR HD2 ONLY! Don't flash it to R1/R3!!! To R1/R3 flash bootcode 23.
Procedure is the same.
