Прошу помощи. Ссылки на прошивки (переходную и основную) из первого поста в настоящее время не работают (лежит сервер). Может у кого-то эти прошивки остались?
Прошу выложить их на какой-нибудь ресурс. Заранее благодарен.

Подробная инструкция установки прошивки iNeXT TV на медиаплеер Philips HMP5000/12.
Оновное и главное: после смены буткода на плеере больше никогда не будут работать внутренние WI-FI даже если вернуть родной буткод(не зависимо от прошивки!)
1. Выбросить родной пульт
2. Купить консольный кабель USB TTL UART (т.к будем навсегда прикручивать другой пульт через UART) и приобрести другой пульт
3. Ставим через софт ресет буткод eGreat во время установки вылезет ошибка(типа install error) и плеер пойдёт на перезагрузку, не пугаемся. Прошивка сделала своё дело: установила буткод, а сам образ не влез из-за маленького размера нанд(флеш памяти плеера).
4. После перезагрузки плеера вставляем флешку (отформатированную в FAT32) с прошивкой inext_tv_1.17_moS_light и ждём пока прошьётся.
5. Прикручиваем код кнопки павер(нового пульта), для этого разбираем плеер и припаиваемся к обратной стороне платы консольным кабелем(USB TTL UART) к контактам TP11(tx) и TP12(rx) gnd(стандартно на массе)
6. Настраиваем гипертерминал: 115200,8,N,1
Далее; зажимаем клавишу ESC, не отпуская ESC включаем плеер(вилку в розетку) и попадаем в реалтек монитор.
В реалтек мониторе вводим

Вместо b24d4040 вписываем/заменяем кодом кнопки power своего нового* пульта.
ps: b24d4040 это код кнопки power на пультах медиаплееров egreat/kaiboer/iconbit hds41/42/52 & xds42/52 (measy)

I think i will go mad from this.
For years i wanted to change the subtitles of the media player.
I wrote in 2013 even to Philips but they answer me that they do not support the product anymore.
Since then i asked my friends who were better in IT to help me but they didn't know.
I have a Philips hm5000/12 media player.
If you will be kind and help me with the following
1) I want that subtitles that the media player displays to be thicker (bold) like MPC-BE Trebuchet MS size 28 border style outline width 3.
2) When i play an image disk with external srt the default size of the subtitles to be the biggest size not the smaller.
3) The color of the subtitle to be white not grey.

I thought that if i change the font file of the media player which is in firmware INSTALL -> PACKAGE2 -> SQUASHFS1 -> USR -> LOCAL -> BIN -> 435QT DATA-4.7.1 -> LIB -> FONTS -> PHLSC_EGBJKTI4.3.2 with a file of font thicker like Arial Black it will resolve one of the problem. But after i open and close the firmware the player do not see it. I've tried for 2 weeks but no luck. Even if i do not make any modification on the firmware, the player do not see it.

Could somebody be kind and show me or guide me to do this work ?

I have installed virtual box and run Ubuntu 17 on it.
Should i install another Linux or what can i do ?
It is possible to do what i wrote ?

Установите прошивку xds42gl_7725_r4 через софт ресет и уйдут все ваши проблемы. Только придётся использовать другой пульт с помощью модуля IRFake RC replacement

ps: прошивку разбирать через Linux Mint 18.2(32bit) плюс инструменты от FarVoice info

После установки ваши проблемы решатся, но оригинальный пульт больше не будет работать, поэтому нужно купить другой пульт и прикрутить его с помощью модуля IRFake RC replacement

Since i want only to change the appearance of the subtitle i think is not worth to put a firmware that will make me spend money to buy the things that will be needed to make the media player to work. I think that a remote control is more expensive that the worth of the media player. So, i will resume only to change the file of font in the firmware, if it is possible. Thank you for your fast response. I will contact you if i get stuck on something and i can not find a way out. It has importance if the Linux is on x86 or x64 ?

Right now i have finished. First i have downloaded Mint 32 bit, i installed on virtual box, i moved the tool.tar after extract to /user/bin , i have made all the steps described, but the media player when i insert the stick do not see the firmware. I do not know what to do.

I think that if i do not install that changed firmware it will be no possible to change the original firmware, right ?
So, i'm asking you kindly it is possible only to change the PHLSC_EGBJKTI4.3.2 file from PACKAGE2->SQUASHFS1->USR->LOCAL->BIN->435QT-DATA-4.7.1->LIB->FONTS with a arial black font file ?
Because i have remade it the firmware a few times but the results were same, the player didn't saw the firmware.
After i make the last step "tar cf install.img *" and open the install.img the squashfs1.img when i want to open in 7zip it gives me that is corrupted.
The squashfs1.img from the original firmware can be opened.

I've discovered the problem about squashfs1.img.
It was the tools, but i've downloaded squashfs-tools 3.0 from another site and now it good, it can be opened with 7zip.
But the player do not see the firmware.
I've tried with Fedora 6, Mint 18.2, Mint 13, but no luck.
What can i do ?
