I have carefully searched the moServices forum for many hours before making this post.
I would like to run himedia style 1185 firmware on non-himedia 1185 hardware.
All versions of himedia style 1185 firmware (including for all rebadges such as Digma, Micca, Alurano and all others ) have always used bootloader 0000.0303.0015.
However, some years ago, CS made modified versions of the himedia HD600A 1185 firmware (see
here) that run fine using the 0000.0303.0020 bootloader. However, CS made no modified versions after 1.0.4.21.
I compared the CS modified versions of 1.0.3.4 and 1.0.4.21 to the factory himedia firmware using the techniques described on the moServices forum post
here.
The himedia factory firmware of the same versions can be found here;
HD600_1.0.3.4.rar and
HD600_1.0.4.21.rarHowever, I've been unable to discover what CS did to bypass the protection and allow the himedia 1185 firmware to run on non-himedia 1185 hardware and with the 0000.0303.0020 bootloader.
I'd ultimately like to adapt the CS method in order to remove the protection (and allow use of the 0000.0303.0020 bootloader) from the following versions of the himedia style 1185 firmware;
Digma HDMP-310/311/550/551
1.0.8.0Digma HDMP-310/311/550/551
1.0.7.29Himedia HD600A
1.0.7.28If someone could give me a little hint about what CS did to bypass the protection on the earlier versions, I'd be most appreciative.
I did also examine the version of the HD600A firmware that was modified for the xds42gl (fourth post in
this thread), but I was still unable to discover the method used to remove or bypass the protection.
